Lounge chair Maggiolina firmy Zanotta
We would like to present you an armchair that wins the heart of every visitor to our showroom in Szczecin.
The Maggiolina lounge chair by Zanotta was designed by Italian architect Marco Zanuso in 1947. Zanuso, as one of the Fathers of modernism, created the armchair in favour of a construction experiment that was aimed at industrial serial production, thus abandoning the traditional craft technique of seat construction. In a slightly less graceful version than today's, the armchair took part in the MoMa competition in New York.
The seat and backrest are covered with the highest quality leather and filled with the most delicate goose feathers, which makes the armchair itself perfectly adapt to the user, and thanks to the rear ventilation system, we can forget about deformations. The whole rests in a scarf made of pigmented cowhide, suspended on a steel frame, so typical of the modernist movement.
